Ambulance Stopped To Make Way For ‘VVIP’ Government Official’s Convoy In Ahmedabad

VVIP treatment of government officials in India is not new. We’ve all seen busy roads and sometimes even parts of a city being cordoned off to make way for a government official’s convoy, no matter what anyone else’s needs or situation may be. Fine, we get it, you run our country, you’re important. But clearing the roads for you is NOT more important than the life of an Indian citizen!

In this video (shared by The Logical Indian) shot in Ahmedabad by someone just like you and me, who was shocked to see what was happening right before his eyes. Traffic on a main road in Ahmedabad was stopped to make way for a government official’s convoy. In that traffic, there was an ambulance with its siren on, indicating that it was carrying someone who was in urgent need of medical assistance. Yet, police officials thought it was more important for the government official to have a smooth journey than for a citizen of our country to get crucial medical help.

This shameful conduct is just an example of how government officials in India think they’re above the same laws that they represent. Even though the Supreme Court has made orders against this, these disgusting events take place rather often.
