6-Year-Old Rescued from Kidnappers by a Teen Girl: An Act of Bravery
A Teen Girl set a 6-year-old girl free from kidnappers. Teen girl was none other than the brave and courageous Nazia, a 15-year-old student from Agra. On the auspicious occasion of Women’s Day Teen girl was awarded the Rani Laxmi Bai Bravery Award for her audacious act of rescuing a 6-year-old girl from the kidnapping attempt. Nazia also received a cheque of Rs 1 lakh along with the award. She has been honored by UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on March 8. See how bold is this Teen Girl!! Read her story!!
The Kidnapping attempt took place near Sadarbhatti in Agra on August 7, 2016 afternoon while Nazia was returning home from her school. Nazia is a student of Saghir Fatima Mohammadia Girls Inter College. She heard the sound of a child crying for immediate assistance. Nazia was quite sure that the girl was in a big trouble.
Without any hesitation or delay for a moment, she hurried to the spot. She found that the girl was about to be kidnapped by two men. Nazia was not all afraid of the two men. Brave and courageous Nazia struggled very hard to release the girl from the attackers.
“It was like a tug of war for two minutes,” she told Times of India, “While they tried pulling her on the motorcycle, I kept pulling her back.”
After a few tugs to and fro, Nazia was able to liberate the girl. Actually Nazia’s boldness made the two men escape from the spot immediately. Thus her daring effort did not go in vain.
Later Nazia realized that, she had struggled to save her junior who had studied in her school. Her name was Dimpy. After that Nazia took timely action by informing about the respective incident to the Principal in the school who in turn informed the police. Later Dimpy’s parents arrived there and took her to home. The way in which they expressed the gratitude to Nazia was beyond explanation. Nazia occupies a precious position in their hearts for saving their lovely daughter. Actually the Teen girl had done a selfless act!!!
“I would do the same if something like this happens again,” said Nazia, proud of her award.
Dimpy is all praises and gratitude for Nazia, too. “They would have taken me away if didi hadn’t been there,” she said.
Hope the selfless brave act of Nazia has no ending like sea. The following quotes should be remembered always.
There are so many ways to be brave in this world. Sometimes bravery involves laying down your life for something bigger than yourself, or for someone else. Sometimes it involves giving up everything you have ever known, or everyone you have ever loved, for the sake of something greater.
But sometimes it doesn’t.
Sometimes it is nothing more than gritting your teeth through pain, and the work of every day, the slow walk toward a better life.
That is the sort of bravery I must have now.
