Delhi Boy Chetan Kakkar Sets New Record for International Placement For DTU

Chetan Kakkar, a student of Delhi Technological University (DTU), has set a new record for the university’s International Placement, bagging a $1,90,000 (1.27 crore) offer from none other than Google.

Kakkar, an alumnus of Springdales, Pusa Road, comes from an academic family, both his parents being teachers at Delhi University. His mother, Rita Kakkar, is in the chemistry department, while his father, Subhash Kakkar, teaches management studies.

Kakkar has shattered the previous placement record, which was 93 lakhs. He will be joining Google in 2016, once his studies are completed.

According to recent findings, there’s more to the situation than meets the eye. These posts on Quora, including Chetan’s own post, reveal that the figure of 1.27 crore is more media hype than factual. These photos should prove that :

So it turns out that the facts aren’t as sensational as we first thought them to be. Oh well, at least the boy has a bright future ahead of him!
