Dhoom Like Inspired Robbery In Okhla New Delhi
Saturday morning 25th July a Dhoom like inspired robbery in Okhla New Delhi took place around 12 pm. But this was no ordinary robbery you hear about, this robbery was like the robbery that took place in one of the most famous Bollywood film Dhoom starring John Abraham.
Two businessmen – Santosh and Ram Kumar from Noida were in Okhla for some business matter on Saturday. They visited a nearby branch of Bank Of India for a transaction of 22 lakhs.
Hardly did they know something bad was going to happen with them.
As soon as they left the bank they were stopped by 3 men on a bike, the robbers.
They were on a black colored bike which had no number plate on the front.
The robber asked Santosh and Ram to hand over the bag and threatened to shoot them.
When Santosh and Ram tried to resist the robbers, they opened fire at the duo. One of them got shot at the shoulder and the other suffered a minor head injury.
The gun shot created a chaos and a crowd build up in that area.
The crowd was alarmed and surrounded the crime scene instantly.
A huge amount of people started chasing the robbers. To lose the people one of the robbers did what John Abraham did in his movie during a robbery to lose the police.

The robber threw 5 lakhs in the air and the mob chasing the robbers stopped chasing them and instead started picking up the notes of 500 and 1000 Rupees which were lying there on the ground. The above scene from bollywood movie Dhoom inspired the robbers and they took complete benefit of the opportunity.
The robbery wouldn’t have been successful if the robber wouldn’t have imitated the scene from the movie.
The robbers then pulled out some more notes and scattered them on the road even as the rider maintained the speed of the bike. As the group of people got busy collecting notes scattered on the ground, the robbers had disappeared. Those who managed to grab some notes vanished too.
Meanwhile the police were informed by a passerby and the victims were rushed to AIMS Trauma Center. Crime and forensic teams collected evidence from the spot. Also the CCTV footage is being examined to find out the identity of the robbers.
The cops are verifying the movements of all history-shooters of the area, along with the criminals who came out on bail recently.
Mandeep Randhwa DCP (southeast) is on the case and has said a FIR has been registered under relevant sections. Several teams including the crime branch are on the case.
