Indian Women’s kabaddi Team Wins The Title For Record-Breaking Fifth Time
Indian Women’s Kabaddi team clinches gold at the 5th Asian Beach Games and took India to the 15th spot in the medal table headed by hosts Vietnam. Indian athletes so far has won six medals (1 gold, 3 silver, 2 bronze).
The Indian women’s kabaddi team has won the title for the record fifth time ever since the inception of the biennial Games in 2008. They have won against Thailand 41-31 in a really hard match at Bien Dong Park. And in each of these last five matches since 2008, Indian women’s kabaddi team has won against Thailand team and Thailand has lost five times in a row against India in the finals.
#Indian men’s beach kabaddi team were not that lucky this time, as they have lost to Pakistan team 28-30. They had to settle for silver this time and Pakistan has made it’s way to the top of the podium. India has previously won gold twice in men’s beach kabaddi in the year 2008 and year 2010 in biennial games.
India’s Amisha Tokas won silver in women’s 70kg category kurash (a form of wrestling originated in Uzbekistan). Reports Times Of India.
