McDonald’s Giving Away Books with their Meals till 15th Feb
Yes, you have heard right, the massive food chain of the world Mcdonald’s are distributing books with their meals. It is one of the world’s largest fast food chain, serving approximately 68 million customers daily in 119 countries across more than 36,000 outlets. It was founded in the United States of America in 1940 and the company started with serving barbecue to their customers and was run by Richard and Maurice McDonald.
They primarily sell hamburgers, cheeseburgers, chicken, french fries, breakfast items, soft drinks, milkshakes, and desserts. But what’s new in their menu is that they are providing books with their meals.
The fast food chain will offer children’s books instead of toys till February 15.
This is the third time McDonald’s has replaced toys with books in their Happy Meals. This started back in 2013 where books were distributed instead of plastic toys and by the end of this year Mcdonald’s would have distributed more than 50 million books.
According to the Los Angeles Times, McDonald’s is giving four different books in this experiment which- Clark the Shark Takes Heart by Bruce Hale, Happy Valentine’s Day, Mouse! by Laura Numeroff and Felicia Bond, and Pete the Cat: Valentine’s Day Is Cool by Kimberly and James Dean. The fourth book is the classic Paddington by Michael Bond.
