Prema Ramappa: The only female BMTC bus driver/conductor based in Bangalore, who took the male dominated career option after her husband’s untimely death to support her family.
A budding dentist met with an accident which shattered her spinal cord and her dreams of making it big in her profession. Today, she is the winner of Miss Wheelchair 2014, and runs her own dental clinic.
A volleyball player was pushed off a running train by thieves. Her leg was amputated. She went on to become the first female amputee to climb Mount Everest.
Is the First 100% visually challenged IFS Officer in India.
Gave up a lucrative corporate career and became the first female Sarpanch of India in her native village in Rajasthan.
Faced an acid attack in 2008. Today she is running her own clothing line called Rupa Designs.
