Mithun Couldn’t even afford Food!
Mithun Chakraborty- couldn’t even afford for after winning His 1st National Award! As it quotes out in the famous play of Julius Caesar, Marc Antony says, “The evil that men do lives after them; The good is oft interred with their bones.” Such is the case with the Indian audiences who come to visit the films! In the crazy domination of Internet, we would probably not looked forward more than what we see. Understanding the hard work by the former celebs is just overcoming away!
We often talk about Bollywood not being able to appreciate inspirational stories from within the country, but we seem to have missed out on the most inspiring actor of the all – Mithun Chakraborty.
1. He won his first National Film Award for Best Actor for his acting debut in Mrigayaa (1976). However, here comes the twist in the tale when rumours were heard that he went out to receive the award even without having any food to eat!
As an actor, Mithun never used to compromise on the quality of his work. Thus it was just a matter of time for him to wait for Bollywood Films to come on his way! Mithun had actually played the role of Bheema which was a hit role in the movie Hum Paanch! However,` it was just not in Indian and Mithun had extended his fame to Russia also!
2. His work in regional cinema has often been ignored by the general audiences.
In local theater, he has been coming up with brilliant film over the years. With the general audience ignorant about local cinema, his amazing work has always been away from the limelight.
3. However despite being such a world class actor, Mithun had been shown the door!
Whenever Mithun Da has been asked about hist first Film interview, he refers to an incident in the beginning of his career. He actually tells everyone that he was being cast into a film for the lead role. However, the director changed his mind after a few days and then cancelled Mithun for the Role! Infact, he used to tell everyone that the director said,”If He becomes a Hero then I will leave Direction!”
4. Mithun Chakraborty isn’t just a fantastic actor but a brilliant human being as well. The hospitals and the trust he runs have made life so much easier for others.
Even when it comes to charity work, Mithun Chakraborty has been silently working for the progress of the society as well. In a world where telling people about your charities is more important that doing some actual charity work, Mithun da has been very low key about this work towards social welfare.
He’s the actor we need but not the one we deserve. Happy Birthday, Mithun da. You’ll forever be our hero.
