PM Modi Declares 26th November As National Holiday
Even though the entire country is debating on religious, social and communal issues all over social media and the news, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was concentrating on declaring another National Holiday.
Modi Tweeted ‘Constitution Day‘ greetings and saluted Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, ‘The Father of the Indian Constitution’, for his contribution. He added that the Constitution is a ray of hope for the country, with ‘HOPE’ being an abbreviation: H for harmony, O for opportunity, P for people’s participation and E for equality.
The Constituent Assembly adopted the constitution on 26th November, 1949, and came into action from January 26, 1950, which is celebrated as India’s Republic Day.
