Shoe Hurled at Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal AGAIN: Ved Prakash Arrested

In an incident, a shoe and a CD were hurled at the Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, as he began giving out details of the odd-even rule at a press conference earlier on Saturday. The attacker identified as Ved Prakash Sharma, claims to be the general secretary of Aam Aadmi Sena (lesser known fraction of AAP).  He had been upset with the CM Arvind Kejriwal regarding not taking action against those involved in alleged irregularities in distribution of CNG stickers. Fortunately, the show did not reach CM Arvind Kejriwal and Ved was detained for further questioning.

As the citizens of this country, the Constitution gives us the right to expression. We have been provided with a number of platforms for the same. It is acceptable to disagree with our governments. It is human to be upset with them. What is disgraceful is to hurled things at our leaders for not fulfilling some of our few wants. Arvind Kejriwal being the Chief Minister of Delhi has a lot of other things to take care of. It doesn’t matter whether he is good at doing his job or not, disrespecting any person is off-limits.

People in today’s world are losing it when it comes to their anger. They tend to lose control and do things that might land them in trouble. We don’t realize how the things we say and do affect others. It’s high time we put ourselves in other’s shoes and see what it is like to be in their position. We need to respect and encourage what people do, especially leaders, as they dedicate their lives for the betterment of the citizens.

The attacker, who is about 26-27 years of age was arrested by police later in the day.
